Eddie Trimarchi is an astro-photographer based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Eddie’s main focus is objects in space, in our solar system, such as the moon, nebula in our galaxy, or other distant galaxies.
His photographs of space concentrate on achieving the clearest image possible given the inherent limitations of his location and equipment.
Eddie mainly takes images from 10 minutes north of Surfer’s Paradise and one hour south of Brisbane, at very close to sea-level, which all makes for a less than ideal location for astrophotography.
To reduce the light pollution from these two major population centers, Eddie uses narrowband filters in many cases where long exposures are required.
